It has always been the paradox of cc development that business needs to be encouraged, educated and even persuaded to take up a practice that is so simple and positive.

We will be testing different approaches to this task in the Comox Valley and Vancouver and reporting on the results as they emerge. We will be using the following basic benefits.

There are reported to be something like 500,000 businesses in the world, mainly in the USA, trading perhaps $20 billion per annum through networks generally misnamed "commercial barter networks" (while they are definitely commercial, they are specifically NOT barter, and can't properly be described as networks). cc systems provide virtually all the bells and whistles in the "commercial barter" package, but without the extraordinary costs - generally entry fees of $500+, annual charges of $100 minimum, and cash fees of 5-10% of every trade.
