                            Program Notes.


        All the programs are rudimentary efforts.

        Improvements are invited, and where acceptable will be included 
        in Landsman's publication.

        Programmers making such improvements will be rewarded and 
        acknowledged as appropriate.



        LETSystem programs.  ( dBASE II codes )


        If you contemplate modifications, 

        PLEASE BE SURE TO PRESERVE THE ESSENTIAL ARCHITECTURE.

        The programs are consistent with the administration forms and 
        procedures.

        All modifications must maintain compatibility with these forms 
        and procedures, and with existing file structures.

        Please confirm all extensions to existing menu options before 
        proceeding.


        dBASE II has been used because of its general availabliity.

        Much of the convolution in the programming derives from the 
        limitation to two files open at any time.

        Versions in dBASE III and other languages are welcomed where they 
        make full use of the expanded options.

        Preference will be given to code which can be distributed without 
        excessive dependence on expensive software.
