Got a problem?
Lets offer a solution....the swamis reply

Children's Accounts

We have several family accounts on our LETSystem but some of the children want to have accounts of their own. Do you foresee any problems with this

No more problems here than with any other account. In our opinion the sooner young people understand how to use community money the better, and very often they are quicker to take on the concept than adults. Young people see the benefits of a plentiful supply of money that is easy to earn, and are very resourceful. Who else would hire the neighbour's dishwasher when it's their turn to wash up, or pay their sister to tidy their bedroom!!

Untapped Resources

In our area there is a huge unmet demand for help with gardening from the elderly. There may be a perception, perhaps shared by some of the elderly themselves, that they have nothing or not enough to offer the system by way of return. I feel this is something a LETSystem ought to be able to help with. What do you think?

Quite right we should be able to help and we can in many, many ways, no space for great detail but we hope you get the picture, be creative. All elderly people have a lifetime of skills to offer they may just need help in identifying them to be of value. If you have a good communicator on the system encourage them to offer helping people to find what they have to offer over a cup of tea. You might be surprised at the outcome, home made apple pies, a compilation of gardening tips, and an old favourite storytelling to the local playgroup. Or coming from the other side account holders could donate into a community treasure chest account, this could then be distributed to those in need or used to finance specific projects eg. the youth club Green Fingers Group.

Let us know and we will offer a solution.
